"The use of aluminum salts in cosmetic products is safe for health”

Let's put to rest the rumours about the effects of aluminium salts in cosmetics
Aluminium is a natural metal that is present in the air, water and soil. Aluminium is part of everyday life and aluminium-derived substances have become commonly used in kitchen utensils, teas, food additives and medicines.

Currently, aluminum salts are an effective way to reduce sweat production and improve the lives of people suffering from hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating. Once in contact with sweat, aluminium salts evaporate to block the sweat glands, slowing down their activity.

The French Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (CSSC) has just submitted its notice of 31 October 2019 on the safe use of aluminium in cosmetic products for public consultation.

It deems the use of aluminium in antiperspirants to be safe.
The results of the latest scientific studies show that the aluminium contained in antiperspirant products is not absorbed by the skin, including freshly shaved skin. It is also not stored in the skin, but is instead deposited on clothing and removed by natural desquamation of the surface layer of the skin.

Our HIDROSIS CONTROL antiperspirant care products comply with the regulations in force (< 6% aluminium) and therefore do not present any risk to the health of our consumers.
