Kaolin

Kaolin is a clay that can be white, beige or pink depending on its origin. It takes its name from the first deposit discovered, near Kao-ling in China. It is also known as white clay or soft clay. Kaolin is found all over the world, in Asia, Africa and even Europe.

Traditionally it was used for topical treatments(as a cataplasm or in a bath), or taken orally for its antiseptic properties.. However it also has amazing absorption power due to its high levels of silica, aluminum and mineral salts, as well as its molecular layered structure.

Kaolin is therefore able to absorb excess sebum..
