sabal-serrulata-ducray-1 Sabal Serrulata is a small palm from America. It is most commonly found in Florida and Texas, where it grows naturally. It is a shrub that can reach between 0.6 to 2 meters high. Its leaves are greenish blue. Their edges are dotted with little hooks, which inspired the name "Saw Palmetto" Its fruits look like little dates, and taste initially sweet, with a strong, spicy aftertaste.
These fruits were originally a simple food, and not used medicinally.

But then it was discovered that the fruit had many properties, as it contained a substance that could reduce excess sebum production.
