Swimming pools are not harmful to hair
Swimming pool water can cause eye irritation but not hair loss.
The swimming pool has a bad reputation because of the antibacterial products and chlorine used in the water. The conjunctiva of the eye can become irritated, but going to swimming pools regularly does not cause hair loss. You may have noticed that there are no bald professional swimmers, and they train for more than 8 hours a day! Some male swimmers shave their hair to move faster in the water thanks to better hydrodynamics. Very rarely, people with very light or bleached hair have experienced color change (yellowish-green color) after swimming in chlorinated water or in water containing copper. This is also possible if the pipes or drains in the house or water network contain copper.
