What the dermatologist has to say about skin dryness

Dry skin is a condition characterized by a lack of lipids which are essential to the formation of the skin's barrier.

This weakened barrier can no longer play its protective role and the skin loses suppleness and softness. This promotes loss of water making the skin uncomfortable and more sensitive to the external aggressions which cause tightness.
This may be a naturally-occuring skin condition, but it can be aggravated by various factors, both external (changes in temperature, sun exposure, pollution or harsh cleansers) and internal (frequent hormonal changes due to age).

Oil derived from Crambe seeds, a plant found in North-Eastern Africa, acts as a nourishing coach. Rich in oleic (omega 9) and linoleic (omega 6) acids, it strengthens the cellular barrier and restores the skin's physiological balance.
