Dandruff and hair loss

Dandruff affects many people, especially men, although there are no official figures to date.

Hair loss and the scalp

Dandruff has been shown to contribute to an increase in the rate of hair loss(2). This could be caused directly by the presence of yeasts of the genus Malassezia(3).

Dandruff and hair loss are therefore two phenomena that may be linked. Dandruff can affect the condition of the hair and its good health. This is why it is important to find the most appropriate treatment in order to break this vicious circle.
