How can you recognize oily hair?

Our experts answer your most frequently asked questions.

Oily hair is darker with a dull appearance. It loses its natural shine and becomes darker, almost as if it were wet. Sebum makes the hair heavier by sticking each individual hair to other hairs, forming thick strands. The hair glistens, and appears heavy.

Comments:

  • Oily hair can also be accompanied by dandruff: in this case we use the term oily dandruff (insert link to recommendation page on oily dandruff).
  • Redness and itching can also appear alongside oily hair.
