Valérie MENGEAUD, PhD in Biology, is Global Medical Director at Laboratoires Dermatologiques Ducray. 

A researcher in skin biology, she has over 15 years of experience in clinical research and development in the field of hair and skin at Pierre Fabre Laboratories. 

A member of the French Society for Dermatological Research and the advisory board of the ECZEMA Foundation, she is the author of more than 60 scientific publications in dermatology.

She defines Ducray’s medical strategy, oversees clinical trials of the brand’s products and manages scientific communications with healthcare professionals.

Her role within the DUCRAY brand 

Dr Valerie MENGEAUD is responsible for ensuring the scientific and medical rigour of the DUCRAY brand. Her key responsibilities include:

  • Concept development: co-creation of new products that address specific dermatological needs.
  • Clinical trials: overseeing trial protocols to demonstrate the efficacy of treatments for skin conditions (eczema, acne, wound healing, hair disorders).
  • Scientific collaboration: direct relationships with dermatologists and international experts to advance dermo-cosmetics.
  • Scientific communication: presentations of our clinical data at dermatology conferences and scientific events around the world. Writing scientific articles for peer-reviewed journals.
