        All about irritated and scaly skin

        Irritated skin and sebo-squamous skin is located on the areas with the most sebaceous glands. This condition is not linked to hyperseborrhea, but rather to a secondary skin reaction to the presence of microscopic fungi (Malassezia genus). This reaction appears in the form of red, relatively scaly plaques (dead cells), sometimes very irritated, located in very specific areas: the nasolabial folds, sides of the nose, eyelids and eyebrows. 
        On the scalp, this condition appears with oily, yellowish dandruff on top of red plaques; these can be found on the edge of the forehead and behind the ears and are often very irritated.
