Ducray and his commitment towards patients' associations

Forging links with patients’ associations

As patients are central to the new healthcare system directives, they now have a key role to play. Patients’ associations are increasingly active and tend to have an influential voice with government bodies.
Ducray Dermatological Laboratories works with 14 patients’ associations worldwide. Our common objective is to gather and share all available information on their conditions and lifestyles to improve their care, foster clinical innovation and serve their interests as best as possible.

Beyond symptoms, improving patients' quality of life

The overriding purpose of Ducray Dermatological Laboratories is to improve the quality of life of people with damaged skin or a scalp condition

The overriding purpose of Ducray Dermatological Laboratories is to improve the quality of life of people with damaged skin or a scalp condition. Listening to expert patients is vital to better understand their experiences and expectations. Thus, our relationships with patients’ associations help to improve our information on their priorities. We aim to involve them in every phase of the development of dermo-cosmetic products so that these products fully meet their expectations in terms of efficacy, tolerance and ease of use.

Supporting patients’ associations and their initiatives

Ducray supports patients’ associations

Every day, these associations work with patients in search of a listening ear and advice, by providing them with bespoke support that meets their individual expectations. They also organize discussion groups, conferences and awareness campaigns aimed not only at the people affected but also at the general public to help improve the understanding and acceptance of dermatological conditions.

To support these associations, Ducray Dermatological Laboratories provides dermo-cosmetic samples and products, helps to raise awareness of their initiatives by regularly posting information on its websites and social media platforms, and sponsors meetings and webinars, at the end of which we collect feedback from the participants. We are able to offer financial support for some of their projects in the form of one-off grants for example.
