      About severe dandruff conditions or scalps prone to seborrheic dermatitis

      Dermatitis or seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp is manifested by more or less thick and oily dandruff, red patches associated with intense itching. These clinical manifestations in the scalp may also be localized to the face and/or torso. In this case, it is the redness associated with small squames that are the most annoying. This condition is not serious but its chronic evolution and its displaying character can lead to an impact on the quality of life. An adapted treatment associated with a rigorous care routine are therefore necessary in order to reduce these visible symptoms and space the attacks as much as possible. Three elements are now identified to explain the origin of seborrheic dermatitis: excess sebum, which leads to the proliferation of a yeast (Malassezia) which itself induces inflammation.
